Launching of the inter-generation cuisine competition: "Those small gourmand secrets"
For the sixth year in succession, Avenance Santé-Résidences and Avenance Enseignement have launched a culinary competition in the regions, combining the different generations. This year, chocolate carries it off with the theme of: "chocolate desserts".
The main heats of the competition:
Residents in retirement homes with restaurant services provided by Avenance Santé-Résidences have to think back to a chocolate dessert recipe from their childhood. The Avenance chef of the residence will be receiving the recipes, trying them and having them tasted. Only one recipe will be selected per residents.
CM1-CM2 junior school class children provided with school dinners by Avenance will be producing drawings on the theme of "the chocolate factory". The 10 children who produce the best drawings will participate in the regional finals.
On D-Day, the elderly person/child tandem groups will be formed by drawing lots. They will be expected to produce a chocolate desert recipe, helped by the Avenance chef of the retirement home concerned.
There will be a jury to taste the deserts and each participating team a mark. The first 3 two-person teams will win awards.

Once again, the two Avenance Enseignement and Sante-Résidences Divisions will be brought together through this competition with its special blend of emotions and sharing.
