Elior Discovery Days: involving managers in training their teams
Elior Discovery Days are designed to introduce Group managers to the "Heart of the restaurant trade" training programs intended for restaurant partners, to better accompany them in maintaining the skills they have acquired.
Giving an overview of the available training content
Since 2008, Elior executives (Directors and Operational Managers or Area Directors, Unit Managers ...) are being offered days to discover the Group's "Heart of the restaurant trade" training: best practices, creating culinary desserts, knowledge and optimization of fishing produce, vegetables and dressings … these days are organized 3 to 4 times every year, giving them a an opportunity to better focus on the training programs made available to their partners.
The day's schedule includes the training goals, demonstration of new techniques, introduction to optimization levers in terms of production, exchanges with participants … Throughout the day, organized in an agreeable venue, participants get a detailed presentation of training by Elior. For the Group training team which designed and heads up these Discovery days, it is also a way of assessing the needs expressed by the various restaurants.
Ensuring that acquired knowledge is implemented in the field.
Elior considers it essential to arouse the interest of managers in the training of their partners, in particular by demonstrating the benefits in the field to them. By helping the teams set up their newly acquired knowledge, managers strengthen their skills and contribute to the Group's continuous progress ambitions.
Thanks to these Discovery days, managers more easily acquire the right words to say and the content of this training, allowing participants to implement these newly acquired skills in their restaurants. It is also a way of better monitoring and mastering the specific procedures of their partners in the production, distribution and utilization of the products they use. It's an efficient way of encouraging on a daily basis, a high quality of service, and of better benefiting from the commitment of our partners to their restaurants!
