The Elior Foundation

Commitment to social responsibility

Set up in 1996 under the aegis of the Fondation de France, the Elior Foundation “Acting for Education” (Agir Pour l’Education) is designed to help students to pursue higher education.

The Elior Foundation’s aims

The Elior Foundation "Agir Pour l’Education" reflects our commitment to social responsibility by enabling underprivileged young people to successfully enter the job market.
The Elior Group has created many jobs, with nearly 30,000 employees in France. Our human resources policy has led to the development of various training programmes that enable employees to move up the career ladder. It was therefore natural for us to also take an interest in their families and, more specifically, in their children, by "acting for education".

A Unique Foundation

A gateway to all professions:

Students can apply for a scholarship regardless of what they plan to study, and are not limited to careers in catering and services. Recipients of Elior Foundation scholarships have gone into medicine, engineering and teaching, while others have chosen more unusual careers such as airline pilot, orchestra conductor or author.

A set of specific criteria:

The Foundation is open to all young people whose parents work in contract catering or concession catering, whether for Elior or a competitor. Candidates are selected based on their family’s financial resources and their own academic results and motivation to pursue higher education. Students must have completed at least two years of college education. The Foundation’s directors and the Selection Committee meet once a year to examine student applications and award scholarships.

Personalised monitoring:

We monitor, support and advise students on an individual basis throughout their studies, and it’s not uncommon for us to renew scholarships for certain students for another year. In addition, the Foundation does everything it can to encourage new and previous scholarship winners to share their experiences.
